Before you say it, I know. I know. HOW have I not done a Get The Look post on my queen, Alexa Chung, before? I haven't a clue how I let this one slip through but alas, here we are. I could write an essay based on my love of Alexa: her style, her hair, her personality, her taste in boyfriends.. everything, really. This post will help you steal her style (and not her boyfriends, unfortunately) but it's a step in the right direction.

Alexa is the perfect mash of tomboy and girlie-girl. Her love of the 60's is apparent through all of her looks but she never shifts away from her rock'n'roll roots. Alexa can be seen strutting her stuff in an oversized band tee, leggings and flats but then she'll be out on the tiles in a retro mini and feminine blouse. She's effortless - that's the key to her style - she looks as though she rolled out of bed and fell into her denim cut-offs and Breton sweater and voila, Queen Chung has arrived.

Alexa's style can suit all body shapes and sizes, trust me. The key is to know what styles work for you. Alexa is tall and slim, particularly on top (like myself) - she can get away with loose blouses and (usually tricky) shift dresses. However, if you have bigger boobs, make sure to tuck your shirt or dress into a snazzy pair of high-waisted jeans or a belt to make sure you don't drown your figure. It's all about accommodating to what fits you best.

If you don't have the confidence to wear super-skinny jeans, opt for a grungy pair of boyfriend jeans - rips and tears, all welcome. Buy a size bigger in shirts and tees to give a slightly-oversized and casual effect, slick on some cat-eye liner and red lippy and you're ready to find yourself a band boy.
