Boyfriend jeans are the new skinny jeans, it's a fact! Gone are the days of hopping around your bedroom, squeezing into the unbearable legs of skinnies; I admit, the majority of jeans I own are of a skinny style and they're personally my favourite BUT I am slowly but surely converting. Casual, comfortable and flattering - they're a wonderfully versatile piece to invest in for 2014.
I decided to mix things up a bit here on the blog and show you how you could easily switch up the styling of a pair of boyfriend jeans; the PU bralet is also worn in each outfit (another piece people tend to avoid out of lack of styling inspiration and ideas).
Double-denim screams 80's and can easily be worn for either day or night depending on what it is your doing; wear with slip-ons, chunky boots or sandals alike and you'll still be bang on trend for SS14. If you're in the mood for something even more casual, wear a loose t-shirt and skater shoes. If you're looking for the ultimate in comfort, I'd advise picking up some basic tee's in COS and a pair of Vans - they're by far the most comfortable shoe I own.
Boyfriend jeans can be easily worn to a festival - in Ireland hot weather isn't always guaranteed so jeans are usually a safe bet if chilly-enough temperatures are at bay. Team with an oversized kimono and strappy sandals or chunky boots (depending on the mud situation) and you're good to go.
Obviously accessorising is key for any look but I decided to keep it simple and sweet for this. Hopefully it gives you all some ideas on how you can style both a pair of loose jeans and a somewhat "daring" top for any occasion.
