Morning all! I thought I'd get my January Favourites up and out of the way as these bits have been my ultimate go-to's this month. This Victorian-style black mirror* from Out There Interiors is an absolute gem of a find. It fits right into my shabby-chic themed room; it's sturdy, crystal-clear and a perfect size for a dressing table. It's made for wall-hanging but looks just as great propped up against a wall. It's really easy to clean and it has survived various moving trips across London and back to Ireland! I'm currently de-cluttering and revamping up my room so keep an eye out for a Room Tour blog post in the near future featuring this beauty.
Beauty-wise I'm loving L'Oreal's Elvive Extraordinary Oil* and newly released Miss Manga mascaras*. The Extraordinary Oil has literally transformed by somewhat dead and dry hair over the last few months; I apply it to the ends of my hair after each wash, just before blowdrying. Only a small pea-sized amount is needed as it's so concentrated. Within 3-4 weeks my hair was softer and the ends highly conditioned. After around 4 months of use now, my hair has grown immensely (proof) and its overall condition is fantastic - barely a fifth of this entire bottle is even used up so far, it's completely worth the price for how much you get and how wondrous the oil is! The Miss Manga mascaras* just launched last week - apart from the gorgeous and kawaii packaging, the mascara itself is brilliant; after one application it gives you voluminous, long and lengthy lashes that completely open the eyes up. It isn't as pigmented as some mascaras - my only critique - so a second coat is a must! I wear the black shade daily but the violet and blue shades are surprisingly gorgeous too (photo of me wearing them here). The Miss Manga mascaras are currently on offer for €8.99 in Boots, so pick one up to try out. If you have hazel eyes like myself, give the violet shade a try - the colour makes hazel eyes pop!
I received a bunch of the new Rimmel Colour Rush Balms* at an event of theirs last week; already I've fallen head over heels for them and they're officially my first favourite product of 2014 so far! I received four gorgeous shades ranging from a nude to a deep-berry. The balms have a twist-up applicator and the nib is similar to a large crayon. They're extremely conditioning, they feel so soft on the lips and the colours are all buildable to look like a lipstick if you desire such an effect. I adore 'Drive Me Nude' especially as it's discreet yet gives me a gorgeous Bardot-esque pout instantly. The Colour Rush balms are also on sale in Boots priced at €7.95 each.
My special mention of the month is dedicated to scrunchies; the retro hair accessories that I'll forever love. My current favourite scrunchie styles are these velvet ones* from We Are Cow and my leopard-print one from American Apparel. They make everyday hairstyles that little more edgy and there's a gazillion ways to wear them.
What are you loving this month? Tried any of the above products?
