March Favourites.

Bonjour all! I decided to write up a little favourites post, as I feel like it's been months and months since my last one. I obviously haven't been wearing that much makeup and the likes since the surgery, so the above have been my go-to basics and necessities over the last four weeks. Enjoy!

Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy: Ever since the operation last month, my lips have been extremely dehydrated and sore. I've tried every lip balm under the sun during recovery and Vaseline is my only failsafe when it comes to long-lasting moisturisation. The Cocoa Butter flavour is my ultimate favourite, although I think it smells more like caramel or toffee! For something so inexpensive, it works brilliantly and does the job well.

NYC Big Bold Curl Mascara* (€3.49): I started applying mascara around 2 weeks ago, as it made me look instantly awake and less death-like. I avoided all other makeup products, bar this; it's a new launch from affordable brand NYC. The Big Bold Curl Mascara is fantastic for the price, but the name is quite misleading if I do say so myself; instead of dramatic and bold lashes, it gives you nice and natural lashes with everyday volume. I've been using it constantly as it's not too OTT, it's perfect for daywear and ideal to use for natural makeup looks.

Soap & Glory Hand Maid Hand Cleansing Gel: I'm quite an anti-bacterial hand gel obsessive and I have tried tons of brands out since the infamous Swine Flu arrived on our shores years ago. After the surgery, I obviously have to be extra aware of hygiene - especially with my hands, in case bacteria transfers into my mouth from my fingers. I adore Hand Maid because of the scent, mainly. It doesn't smell of alcohol, like 90% of hand gels on the market do; it smells like their trademark Hand Food scent, which I adore (if you like Miss Dior Cherie, you'd adore the scent. They're quite similar). The bottle has lasted me since the start of the month and I'm only running out of it now. It's definitely something I'll be repurchasing soon.

Vichy NutriExtra Hand Cream* (€6): I wrote about this hand cream a while ago in my Hand S.O.S blog post, but felt the need to give it another mention as I've been using it to death lately! The hand gel can dry out my hands after excessive use, so this NutriExtra hand cream has been a godsend. I just finished the tube up last week and thankfully have a second bottle of it. It smells beautiful, it sinks in quickly, it isn't greasy and it moisturises the hands brilliantly.

The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel: My wonderful friend Tara (from TarMarTales) sent me out a get well giftbox, the week after my surgery. Included were her favourite pamper bits, including this Satsuma Shower Gel from The Body Shop. I own the body spray of this and the scent is to die for! I'm usually not a fan of citrus scents, but this is the perfect mix of sweet and tangy. The shower gel is absolutely heavenly to use; the smell makes my mouth water every time I'm in the shower! The scent lasts on the skin throughout the day, especially if you apply the body spray afterwards. If you adore the smell of The Body Shop, try this out asap. Yum yum!
