Happy Sunday everyone! Here's another OOTD post, from my Winter Lookbook - a nod to the 90s, in particular; The Craft and supermodel-dressing. There's nothing I love more than black, faux leather and this season's Baroque and Gothic trends. This outfit hits all the right spots; it's adventurous, edgy yet classy. Leather dresses can go oh-so wrong, but if worn correctly, so very right. I follow the age-old legs or chest rule, and never show both at once. It's an overload of skin for me, and takes away an outfit's comfort factor.
I wore thick black tights with the dress, along with layering a gorgeous vintage Armani blazer over it. My Nana gave this Armani number to me a few years ago, and I still haven't worn it yet. I'm not a huge lover of shoulder pads, so I might just get the jacket's HUGE ones removed. It's gorgeous; it's powerful, and everything the 90s was. (I can imagine Naomi Campbell wearing it. The minute I tried it on, I envisioned her!)
My biggest style inspirations over the last few months have been Wednesday Addams, The Craft and Dita Von Teese. Sticking to my love of Old Hollywood glamour, but edging it up with gothic-inspired pieces. My choker is one of my favourite buys of 2012; I bought it in Topshop, during LFW in September. Although I find myself just about over the baroque trend, it's a piece that will stay on "trend" for quite a while - especially after seeing Chanel's recent Pre-Fall 2013 show. It's a statement piece, and ridiculously big - I love it!
