Outfit Of The Day

Afternoon all! Yesterday, I went to see Titanic in 3D with some friends in Dundrum. Unfortunately the rain appeared, along with a blanket of groggy grey clouds - it was a lovely reminder that our heat wave/ Summer had most definitely gone. I decided not to let my outfit suffer with the depressing weather, and put a dress on straight away! I decided to sway a little from my typical makeup and outfit choices, and experimented a tad with different combos and styles! My outfit and makeup were both inspired by Aria from Pretty Little Liars' fashion; she's always quite edgy and grungey. I wore a pair of biker boots with a new dress, and actually adored the combo (Aria always wears the two together)! I'll definitely be wearing the boots with more dress in the future, it was comfortable yet still edgy looking.
My fabulous dress is from Sugarlips Apparel, it's their 'Bluebells Striped Dress' in a size small. It has a stunning indigo-blue tie dye pattern, which gives it the grungey 90s element, and has an exposed zip detailing at the back, adding a modern twist. It's absolutely GORGEOUS! It was a bit long for me at the hem as I'm quite small, but I tucked the dress under a black elasticated belt at the waist and all was swell! I teamed the dress up with my Topshop leather jacket and Next biker boots (which are size too big for me, unfortunately). My new necklace is from Topshop, and was a present off of one of my best friends; it's a gorgeous caveman-chic tribal necklace, it's unique and will go with everything.
Makeup wise, I opted for a brown smokey - a huge change from my light pin-up eyes. Lucy Hale (Aria) and I, both have quite large hazel eyes, so I thought the look would suit me too. I used Sleek's 'Oh So Special' palette's browns on the lid, and smudged the black shadow into some eyeliner on the top lashline. I opted for a nude lip, and used MAC's 'Creme Cup' lipstick which gave a pretty pink hue to my lips. I really loved the look, I'll definitely be wearing it again also.
My Easter Sunday nails lasted until yesterday also; they were an assortment of pastel shades using Barry M and Essence nail polishes. Cute and chic!
