Yesterday I attended a family soirée, and decided to wear some items that I had bought ages ago, but haven't had a chance to wear yet! The outfit overall, was very rockabilly and grunge inspired, with a hint of punk thrown in for good measure. I donned the classic casual-meets-dressy look, pairing a sporty hoodie with a print skirt and glam makeup.
I wore a gorgeous pencil skirt, I'd bought in Penneys (Primark) months ago. Unfortunately it's a size 10, and it absolutely hangs off of me. I have to roll it up a few times, tie it with a bobbin AND hike it up with my trusty elasticated wispy belt. I need to get it taken in asap, but it did the job yesterday. I wore my Topshop leather jacket, an American Apparel dark grey hoodie and white crop tee and my beloved Doc Martens. The outfit was very 'me', and extremely comfortable to wear.
Accessories wise, I wore the most AMAZING bow in my hair, that I bought in George's Street Aracade recently. It screams Disney princess to me, and just adds such a beautiful, feminine and retro twist to any look. I pinned it to the back of my hair, behind my faux victory rolls. I wore my new Ankh earrings from Topshop, along with two chunky gold rings I've purchased from there also over the past while.
I wore my pin-up makeup as usual, using a Sedona Lace 168 Eyeshadow Palette for the first time (review up this week). On my nails I wore a stunning turquoise Nails Inc. polish, I received in InStyle magazine last year and a glittery Angelica polish on both ring fingers.
