Haul - Eyeko, Chanel, Bershka, Lush and Asos!

Sorry about my lack of videos and blog posts over the last few days guys! I've recently purchased a Flip camera, and I had terrible difficulty with it on Tuesday, I recorded 3 videos and none of them would upload. The editing software that I got with the camera is awful and it runs so slow on my computer.. typical!
Yesterday I went shopping with some friends, and went to see Bridesmaids with the girls over at Viva Adonis. It's as funny as The Hangover 2, and we all in fits of laughter throughout. The ending seemed a bit rushed however, but it was a fantastic movie overall - I'd definitely recommend you guys go and see it your friends!
Myself and my new Flip camera.
On Tuesday morning, I was awoken to a lovely little parcel sent to me from Eyeko. Eyeko means 'love' in Japanese and it is a London based beauty brand. Their products have received rave reviews globally, and stars such as Emma Roberts and Sophie Dahl swear by Eyeko products! I was trés excited particularly about this because it was my first ever parcel sent from a company, for me to review their products. I've been a fan of Eyeko cosmetics for months now, and I've used their brown Graffiti Eyeliner pens religiously. Eyeko not only use gorgeous and girly packaging on all of their products, but they're also against animal testing - something that is very important to me because I'm a vegetarian.
I was sent out a fabulous black Graffiti eyeliner pen and 2 of their new lipsticks; 'Liptastics'! I've used all of these products over the last few days, and I am hooked already!
I was curious to see how well the black Graffiti pen would turn out, as I've only ever used the brown. However, it applied beautifully on to the eyelid and the colour was jett black and not watery at all - something that happens a lot with eyeliner pens! The brush is not rough and it doesn't drag on the skin, it applies quite softly on to the lid. It's ideal for reaching those inner corners and for doing precise flicks - I love it!
The Liptastics are incredible, and definite new favourite of mine! Not only did I adore both colours sent to me, the quality of these lipsticks is phenomenal! I wore 'Hot Lips' (pink) the day I received the package, and I only had to top up the colour up twice that day. There is hardly any transfer of the lipstick onto glasses when you drink, and it doesn't bleed out of your lip liner. Both colours are so Summery and I know I'll get such good use out of both, I'm thoroughly delighted with all of my Eyeko products, and I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to them!
Hot Lips (pink),  Lip Lover (red) and the black Graffiti pen.

I picked up these fabulous leopard-print shorts in Bershka yesterday, for a mere €9.99! I absolutely adore them, and I'm just waiting for our sun to come out to wear them!
After reading so many fantastic reviews and watching so many videos about Chanel's Bronze Universel, I finally gave in and bought one! The Bronze Universel is a beautiful matte bronzer, that's ideal for contouring your face and for adding a Summer glow to our Irish pasty skin! The one shade adapts to all skin tones, the formula is quite smooth and buttery and you get a fantastic 30g worth of product. The container is massive and of course, elegant. I paid a whopping €37 for it, but I know it will last forever and is totally worth the money. I bought mine in Brown Thomas on Grafton Street, but it's sold at any Chanel counter internationally. I'm already in love with this product, and I'll do a review on it over the next few weeks.
Today I woke up feeling incredibly ill and had no willpower at all in me to climb out of bed. I woke up to 2 amazing surprises however, which instantly perked my mood; Lush had sent me over a huge parcel full of goodies for me to use and I also received a call from Vodafone, to inform me that I'd won a pair of 3 day camping passes for Oxegen - amazing! My mood quickly turned into a joyous one for obvious reasons, but I was still crippled in back pains and headaches!
I went through my Lush parcels with 'ooohs' and 'aaaahs' and the delicious waft of Lush swept through my room. I saw some of my all-time favourites in there - 'Dragon's Egg' and 'Mr.Whippy' bathbombs, but also some products I've never tried out! A 240g tub of the famous 'Dream Cream' made me the happiest girl on the planet! The cream is known globally to fight skin conditions, such as ezema and I've never gotten around to buying some. It smells gorgeous and I cannot wait to use it! The new 'Tiny Hands' solid hand cream was also buried within the treasures, and it's one of the many things I'm dying to try out!
I'll be posting a 'Perfect Bath' post soon, and I'll be reviewing each product over the new few weeks. I'm a huge fan of Lush, as you all know, so a thousand thank you's to Lush for sending me all of these gorgeous goodies!
A few weeks ago, I won the 'Black & White Styling Challenge' on Asos, sponsored by Nivea's new Invisible For Black & White Deodrant. I won 4 dresses in total; 2 black, 2 white. Due to one white dress being missing from my parcel, Asos very kindly sent out a £50 voucher to spend on their site. There was a bit of confusion over the parcel, as you may know if you follow me on Twitter, as I only received the parcel yesterday, but all is now good and well! The dresses are so beautiful and I'll get fantastic wear out of them all.
(Excuse the poor quality pictures, my camera died and I had to make do with an old one!)

(L-R) A stunning sheer polka-dot midi dress, a classy white dress ideal for weddings and a 60s style shift dress (my fave!)

I've been going through quite a lucky patch this month, I've won Oxegen tickets, Asos outfits and a Make Up For Ever make-up course, and as one of my subbies on Youtube said - it's karma! The start of 2011 was absolutely dreadful for me, and things only started picking up this month for me. June was quite a lucky month for me and I just hope that luck doesn't run out any time soon!
I enter competitions daily, and lads remember; If you're not in it, you can't win it!
On that note, remember to enter my huge Summer beauty giveaway here - it closes in 4 days, so get entering!

Within the next few weeks, I'll be having a huge ebay sale, I'm doing a huge clearance - clothes, shoes, the lot! I'll post everything on here when it's all sorted out, so watch this space!
I hope you're all keeping well, hopefully I'll have a new video up by Sunday - if my camera decides to work!

Benefit Make-Up Event @ Brown Thomas, Dublin.

Yesterday was such a fabulous day! Not only was it Dublin's Annual Gay Pride Festival, it was also the day of the Benefit event in Brown Thomas, on Grafton Street! I saw the announcement on Facebook a few weeks ago, that Annie and Maggie Ford Danielson (nieces of the co-founders of Benefit) were going to be giving make up lovers a make up lesson and demonstration, to celebrate the launch of the new Cha Cha Tint! Not only were Annie and Maggie going to be there, Kirstie and Aisling McDermott from Beaut.ie were also going to be gracing us with their glamourous presence!
Benefit's gorgeous make-up, I've always adored their packaging - so chic and girlie!
For a €30 booking fee, it was so worth it! Not only did you get to spend that €30 as a voucher for Benefit products, you also received a goodie bag worth €50, a mini-makeover and also a picture with the lovely Annie and Maggie! How amazing is that?!
Myself, with the beautiful Annie and Maggie Ford Danielson!
I got a fabulous makeover off of one of the Benefit gals, before Annie and Maggie arrived to give the talk. She applied the new POREfessional and Cha Cha Tint on me, both phenomenal products! The POREfessional really did smooth out the skin around my nose and cheeks, it minimised my pores and gave me a beautiful matte effect. I was so excited to try out the new Cha Cha Tint also, and I loved it straight away! A lot of people are concerned about how bright the orange tint is when you see it in the bottle, but as soon as you blend it into the skin it turns into a gorgeous coral colour. Cha Cha Tint suits all skin tones and is an ideal colour choice for Summer. It has a delicious mango scent off of it too, and is really light on the skin. With my €30 voucher, I bought the Cha Cha Tint. It retails for €33.50, which some people may find a bit too expensive, but the bottle you get is huge and you definitely get your moneys worth!
The wonderful Cha Cha Tints!
Meeting Annie and Maggie was such an honour for me. I became obsessed with Benefit products around 3 years ago, when I bought my first Bad Gal eyeliner, I was hooked from there on in! While I worked at KISS magazine for work experience 2 years ago, I remember I had to type up an interview of Annie and Maggie, and I remember thinking to myself "Wow, they sound so interesting!" To meet them yesterday, was so incredible! They were extremely down-to-earth and so friendly, making the effort to talk to everyone. They showed the crowd demonstrations and told us priceless make-up tips!
Helping out with the demonstrations were Kirstie and Aisling, who added even more fun and knowledge to the event! I was talking to the girls after, and they were so lovely! I recently won a Make Up For Ever make-up course, worth €995 off of Beaut.ie, so I had to thank them a hundred times!
Aisling from Beaut.ie getting her make-up done by one of the fabulous Ford Danielson sisters!
I bumped into the stunning Sinéad and Dee from Viva Adonis too, and I was delighted to finally meet them! They recently posted an interview with me, which you can check out here! They recorded the whole of Maggie and Annie's make-up demonstration also, which you can watch in the video below (spot me over to the right, in the pink cardigan and blue shorts!)
I left Brown Thomas, feeling overwhelmed with excitement! Not only did I just meet Maggie and Annie, I also had a bag full of goodies to try out and test!
My gorgeous Benefit goodie bag, full of treats and surprises!
I was so delighted with my Cha Cha Tint! I have been looking for the perfect coral blush and lippy for months, and I got a 2for 1 deal with the tint, as you can use for both cheeks and lips! As I previously mentioned, it blends into the skin and people shouldn't be scared to use it just by seeing the bright orange colour! If gives a lovely fresh tint to the skin and it is an overall staple Summer product.
I've been dying to try out Benefit's new skincare range - b.Right! Not only is the packaging so gorgeous and retro, the whole range has been receiving rave reviews globally! In my goodie bag, I received sample sizes of It's Potent! eye cream and also a Triple Performing mosturiser. (the girl at the counter kindly gave me an extra moisturiser, yay!) After only trying out both products once, I am already in love! The eye cream is smoothing for the eye area and it is lightly scented, the moisturiser is also so smoothing on the skin and it comes with an SPF of 15, which is highly important for me! I'll definitely be purchasing these products in the future again!
If that wasn't enough, I also received a gorgeous Ultra Shines lipgloss in the shade 'Who Are You Wearing?' It's a stunning Barbie-pink, suitable for all skin tones and it has a yummy watermelon scent! I love how the applicator is a brush, as the gloss glides on swiftly over the lips.
Last but not least, I received a Tweezerman eyebrow tweezers! As you all know, I'm an eyebrow obsessor! I've always wanted a Tweezerman, but have never gotten around to buying one. These stunning tweezers were specially designed for Benefit, and are so pretty! They're definitely my favourite product that I received, and I cannot wait to try them out!
Overall the event was so fun and meeting Annie and Maggie was so amazing for me! I am so grateful for the goodie bag and I want to give a special thank you to the Beaut.ie girls and also the Benefit workers, who ran the event perfectly and were so kind and helpful!
Picture of moi at the event, taken by the lovely Kirstie McDermott!

Top 10 Summer Nail Polishes & Some Of My Collection (Chanel, Nails Inc. and Essence!)

Since I was a child, one of my many delights in life was having my nails painted. Nothing cheers me up more than a perfectly manicured hand and glistening, coloured nails! Due to the rules in school forbidding nail polish wear (boo!), I used to become exited even thinking about what polish I was going to wear, at the weekend. Due to finishing school for good now, I can gladly flash my coloured talons wherever, and whenever I want.
I have a huge nail polish collection, and I've decided to only feature some of it today. If I was to feature the whole lot, we'd be here for days... seriously.
I've chosen my top ten favourite Summer nail polishes (top video) and I'm quite pleased with my decision. There's a variety of colours and brands, and it branches out to all types of gals!
I recorded a video on them and I mention prices, names etc.. so have a look!
I've ordered a HD camera online, so hopefully I'll have it for next week! I'll be posting a ton of make up tutorials from now on.
Chanel Polishes
(L-R) Extreme Shine Lacquer, Protective Base Coat, 505 Particuliére, 18 Rouge Noir and 475 Dragon.
Chanel make up is usually a hit or miss with me. After a terrible experience with their Pro Lumiére, I've become a bit wary about splashing the cash on their products. I'm a huge fan of their lipsticks however, and also their nail polishes. The colours are beautiful, the packaging is so chic and they last forever! I do believe their incredibly over-priced however, and you can find many dupes for them, for cheaper on the high street.
Nails Inc. Polishes
(L-R) Victoria, Savile Row, Piccadilly Circus, Mink and Electric Teal.
Nails Inc. are by far one of my favourite nail polish brands. My whole collection has been built up from magazine free gifts! I haven't bought a single one, they're either from InStyle or Glamour magazine! Each polish has the most stunning finish on the nails and they also last forever. The colour range is divine and I love how the polishes are named after London Streets. They range from around €12, and I think it's a reasonable prices, especially for the amount you get and how well they look on the nails.
Essence Polishes
(L-R) Cool And The Gang, So Wanted, Trust In Fashion, Choose Me!, Check Me Out, Poor Party.
Rock It Baby, Where Is The Party?, Break Through, No More Drama, Movie Star, What Do U Think?
As you all know, I adore my Essence products! I fall in love with their new shades of On The Go nail polishes, each month. They're a bargain at only €1.29 each, and they come in such trendy colours! Every polish I've used, has a great colour and they don't chip for a good few days after application. I would recommend definitely applying a base and/or top coat on these, to make them last even longer! With under €2, you cannot go wrong.. pick one up and try it!
Today I'm wearing quite simple make up, I tried my Illamasqua Bedaub again on the eyes.. but it creased after 5 minutes, of course.  I wore M.A.C's Pink Swoon blush and Lady Gaga's Viva Glam lipstick No.1, but I had to chop my lower face out of the pic due to a horrible shadow being over it! On my nails I'm wearing the Avon Mirror Shine in Polished Pink, as featured in my video.
What are your favourite Summer polishes?

Mermaid Magic!

I've always had an obsession with mermaids and the ocean, and I assume that's why my favourite colours are blue and turquoise. I very rarely wear colours on my eyes, but I'm going to change that! I'm becoming braver with colours lately, and seeing as colour blocking is bang on trend at the mo, I thought I'd give it a go today!
I was inspired by mermaids, and ocean-like colours and I even swapped my black liner, for a royal blue! I'm delighted with the result. I teamed the mermaid eyes, with a beautiful Barbie pink lipstick and blush.

3 Products I Regret Buying!

I am self-confessed impulse buyer. I buy things without thinking twice about them and I end up annoyed at myself, when they just don't work! I've chosen 3 beauty items that I've been disappointed in recently. I'm making to sure to read reviews  before I buy products in future, as I'm wasting my money on awful products too much this year!
Illamasqua's Cream Pigment in 'Bedaub':
Possibly the most disappointing product I've bought all year. I squealed with excitement as I ordered this product on Asos a few months ago. It was my first ever Illamasqua product and I was dying to try it! I fell in love with the beautiful mint colour and gorgeous packaging as soon as I saw it on the site. It arrived in the post a few days after and I was so excited to finally try it! I was delighted with it at first - it was pigmented, the colour was fantastic and it was so Summery! After about an hour of wearing it however, it creased terribly and the colour had faded to an off-green. I applied my eye primer as always, and I just couldn't understand why it lasted for so little time! I wore it a few times after that, and I had the same problem again and again. I'm still on the hunt for a similar minty eyeshadow, so I can wear it as a base, but no luck so far. Not worth the €17 unfortunately.
Veet's Hair Removal Wax Strips:
I bought this product for around €6 a few months ago, in my local chemist. On the box, it claims to 'remove hair for up to 4 weeks and be effective even on short hair'. As I hate all types of hair on myself, apart from my head/eyebrows/eyelashes, I remove it everywhere - even my arms! I bought these strips thinking they were going to be ideal for my upper lips and underarm area, as they were small and softening. I followed the instructions perfectly, placed the wax strip on my upper lip, removed it and applied the oil afterwards, to remove the wax. Not only did the strips remove hardly any hairs but they broke me out in a ton of spots on my upper lip a few days after! I think the oil wipes they give are too oily, and the oil just clogged my pores. I'm terrified to use them again, as I don't want to get a reaction like that one again. I will never repurchase wax strips again, I'll stick to getting it done professionally.
 Chanel's 'Pro Lumiere' foundation:
After spending a whopping €42 on this foundation in Brown Thomas, I had high expectations to say the least. I assume any Chanel product will work brilliantly, due to it being Chanel and also having a huge pricetag - but not this one! For a start, I bought the palest shade they had at the counter - 10 Limpide/Nude - and it was far too dark for my skin tone. I'm a typical Irish pale gal, and when I ask for a pale foundation, I mean a pale foundation. This foundation is far too yellow also, giving a really unnatural look to the skin. Not only that, but it broke me out along my chin and forehead after a few times of wearing it. I've heard endless bad reviews of the foundation, of people experiencing the breakout problems also. I assume that's why it's being discontinued, it's just not worth the €42 and is highly disappointing for a Chanel product, as I'm a huge fan of their lipsticks and nail polishes!
Do you regret buying any beauty products recently, which ones?

Guess Who's Back...

I have returned to the world of Blogger, and it has surely been quite a while! I have been extremely busy over the last few months, with exams and school. My graduation was brilliant! I didn't get emotional at all though, as I was just ready to leave school in general. I adore my year and I'll definitely miss the girls, I'll catch up with them all at the Debs this September however, I am so excited! For our Graduation, we decided on a Disney theme. We all painted our own characters, to decorate the hall and our hoodies were also Disney inspired. It was such an amazing way to end school.

Graduation Night:
One of my best friends Emma, and myself. Emma's wearing an Erdem-inspired lace dress from Jane Norman. I'm wearing a red 60s-style dress from Asos.
 My baby photo, awwwh!
The exams went quite well, I'm happy overall. English and History went fantastic, I'm really pleased with those especially. I finished at 4.30 yesterday, and I could of danced out of the hall! I get my results on the 17th of August, so I'm just forgetting about them until then. Although it's quite hard to switch from 'study' mode, to 'relax' mode. I had a long bath last night and just let go of all the stress of the last few months. The exams are such a pressure, and I feel sorry for anyone who has another week of them!
I am free, at last! Although my first day of Summer, has been a rainy, dull - typical Ireland! I have SO many plans for this blog and my Youtube channel, I'm so excited to start again! Fashion, beauty, music.. everything will be talked about, reviewed about it, raved about! I plan on really making this and my Youtube into something big, so I'm trés excited!
Tonight I'm going out with my friends for the first time in weeks, and I am dying for it!

I'm wearing my typical pin-up make up today;
Eyeshadow - Urban Decay's Naked Pallete
Eyeliner On Top - Essence Liquid Eyeliner
Eyeliner On Waterline - e.l.f's White Eyeliner
Mascara - Maybelline's The Falsies
Eyebrows - Essence brown pencil & M.A.C's 'Smut'

Thanks everyone, xo.
